Well kids, I have decided to dive back into the world of blogging. Some people blog due to the emotional baggage they are carrying around and blog land is a nice place to sit and rest and spill said baggage all over the floor. Other people blog to keep in touch with friends or distant relatives. Personally, I am creating this blog because it is easy and honestly I have been a bit bored lately. Surprising I know. Who thought there would be so much down time on a college campus. I even have a Nintendo Wii in my room.

I guess now would be a good time to talk about what I do while I am not sitting at my computer typing blogs or checking facebook. For some reason I have grown to love reading, all through grade school and even high school I could not stand reading at all, now I find myself reading all the time. It's kind of weird actually but I guess it could not have come at a better time considering I have decided to major in english. A few books and short stories that I have read recently and that I strongly recommend to anyone include "Into the Wild" by Jon Krakauer, "The Call of the Wild", "Diable-A Dog", and "The Oddessy of the North" all by Jack London and "The Black Cat" by Edgar Allen Poe.

When I am not reading I am probably eating or as I mentioned before, playing the Nintendo Wii. The Wii was a lot of fun at first but now that I have reached pro status in three of the five sports so I don't have a lot of drive to play anymore. The only sports that I remain an amateur in are golf and boxing. Golf takes a century to reach pro status and I refuse to do the things necessary to become a pro in boxing for fear of bodily harm.

Since I have given a wide variety of Jack London novels and stories, I will conclude this blog with a quote from "The Call of the Wild"

"There is an ecstasy that marks the summit of life, and beyond which life cannot rise. And such is the paradox of living, this ectasy comes when one is most alive, and it comes as a complete forgetfulness that one is alive."

-Jack London
